| Delilah is an amalgamation of human DNA spliced with alien DNA from her universe. This has granted Lilah two unique abilities: shapeshifting and telepathy. Trained particularly to use her shapeshifting for combat/covert purposes, Lilah can use her shapeshifting abilities to enhance her own natural senses/skills. Additionally, Lilah has learned how to reshape her body in almost any way that she pleases. Typically, she doesn't use this ability often, but she is more comfortable with adjusting her physical gender between male and female at will and expressing her gender in her own way. She does, however, have the ability to transform into the appearance of others. She doesn't like to use this ability, and won't readily advertise it initially. Nor will she transform into another person without consent. As a telepath, Lilah has learned to project her thoughts into the minds of others. This ability is still new to her, so projection is what she can do more readily. Reading thoughts is something she's still developing. And anything more intense beyond that is outside her capability to learn currently. As with her other abilities, Lilah doesn't like to use her telepathy without consent. Lilah is non-verbal, and therefore does use her telepathy to project her thoughts conversationally, but again she tends to seek permission to even do this. Otherwise, she will use other communication at her hands (ie. her device or ASL). Please note that in regard to both, even if approved to do so I do not intend to use either ability without first discussing it with the player. It's not something I would spring on anyone during play. If I feel like she might use either, I will pm/pp the player to ask for permission and how they want it to go if allowed to do so. I'm also entirely willing to be approached by players to use this as a plotting points for their characters, too. Permissions. Character Info
Game(s): Eastbound!
Character Name(s): Astarion (Baldur's Gate III) and Sergeant Slick (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)
Character Journal(s):
Can Delilah project her thoughts to your character for communication purposes?: Yep! Although Astarion's got some special considerations (details in the final section below).
Can Delilah try to read your character's thoughts?: Yes, but Slick won't react well to it without in-character permission.
Can Delilah shapeshift to appear like your character?: Yes. Slick might be uncomfortable about it, Astarion would love it.
Would you be interested in using her shapeshifting as a plot point if it should come up?: Yes.
Anything else?: Quick run-down on my guys: Slick has been in contact with Yennefer from The Witcher to try and pick up some of her telepathic stuff, or at least learn about it. He's curious about how it works, and would be curious to learn about Delilah as well. Mind-reading is more of an issue for him, due to some backstory details. He's a clone trooper, and a renegade against the Jedi. He won't like people poking around in his thoughts without permission, and somebody who isn't a clone looking like him would be really unsettling, unless he's got forewarning and they've got a plan to make use of it. He's always down for sneaky plans.
Astarion has some complications around telepathy and mind-reading. He's infected with a psychic brain parasite, which gives him a bit of telepathic and mind-reading powers as well. He doesn't have great control over it, but any psychic contact, especially mind-reading, is likely to result in him getting a jumbled view of her thoughts and memories.
Regarding shapeshifting, Astarion would actually really want that. As a vampire spawn, he hasn't seen his own face in a mirror in two hundred years. He's forgotten what he looked like, and that's a sore spot for him.
On the note of sore spots, content warnings: Slick's personal history involves a lot of violence, death, and slavery. And under Astarion's carefree and foppish exterior, he's a big ball of PTSD, with a history involving abuse, torture, human and animal death, and yet more slavery. So let me know if there's anything to avoid in that whole pile of Yikes, and I'll be happy to tailor things to fit whatever keeps things fun!
